Professional Certificate Course
Delivery: Classroom
Duration: 3 days

Airport slots are specific points in time allotted for an aircraft to land or take off at an airport. Where the demand for slots exceeds the available supply, the airport can be considered ‘capacity-constrained’, at which time, a ‘slot allocation’ process is implemented. The management of such process is essential to ensure efficient access to airports’ infrastructure and resources.

Within this context, the course sets out how slots are allocated, which guidelines and regulations frame slot allocation processes at global and local levels, and what is the role that airport operators can play to promote the greatest possible efficiency and prevent abuse in the use of their infrastructure.
